August Little Moments

The month of August passed in a blur of last days of swim team, birthday parties, playdates, trips to Great America and Gilroy Gardens with Cecchin cousins, solo kid trips to Arnold to visit Hop and Mop, trips to the park, evening concerts in the park at Moraga's bandshell, back to school haircuts and end of summer fun!

 

Washington DC with Kids

At the end of August, two lucky kids got to accompany their Daddy and their Grandma and Grandpa on a trip to Washington DC, leaving Molly May and I on our own while they traipsed around the Capitol, visited the monuments, took a tour of the White House, visited the Air and Space Museum, drove to Mount Vernon, and generally absorbed more culture in four days than they have in the past year in our sleepy suburb.

 

Thanks to Grandpa for imparting his US History expertise and being an expert tour guide, and Grandma for putting her grammar school teaching skills to work and making sure Joey and Clara learned a little something while they were there!
