A miracle occurred in the Cecchin family at the end of August. Three kids began a new school year AT THE SAME SCHOOL. Instead of ferrying kids to and from three different schools, I now have all my little people in one place, ONLY A FIVE MINUTE WALK AWAY!
Have I ever used all caps on this blog before? This is pretty huge.
As is the fact that we now have a fourth grader, a second grader and a kindergartener. How did that happen? And so quickly?
After walking our troop to school and making my solitary way home, I settled in for my first morning of peace with my cup of coffee and an eerily quiet house. I reviewed the pictures I had taken that morning and had to laugh. Without me realizing it, Clara stole the show in our front porch photo shoot, with her latest and now signature pose.
Luckily, once we got to school, her runway pose was gone, replaced by nervous excitement that was matched by Joey and Molly May.
These three could not have been more thrilled with their teachers and the friends they reunited with. Biking, scooting and walking to school are all awesome modes of transportation when you're used to riding in a car or bus, and they're savoring the independence... at least before colder weather gets here! Here's to this enthusiasm sticking!
