Baseball season kicked off with a bang in our sleepy little town at the end of February, with a perfect small-town parade that this baseball mom helped organize.
It was a crazy morning -- the best kind -- filled with hot chocolate, donuts, balloons, lots of siblings, and handsome, happy baseball players dressed in their full uniforms and ready to play their first games!
Joey is lucky to call his coach Dad/Daddy for the 5th year in a row, and is sporting the Pirates jersey for the fourth year in a row! We have so much Pirates gear in this house that our two little cheerleaders (who haven't tired of baseball games yet!) might soon be getting some black and gold get-ups sewn out of too-small jerseys... if I find the time/ energy!
Coming soon... spring and summer nights at the baseball field, grass and dirt-stained baseball pants, rushed evening meals, sunflower seeds littered in the bottom of my purse, Gatorade-stained lips, and three happy, sweaty children who look forward to this time of year the most!
