He lost his first tooth in Maui!
The Tooth Fairy ACTUALLY found him and left his money under his pillow in our hotel room!
No sooner did Tooth #1 fall out, than Tooth #2 started to make some noises about following suit.
Tooth #2 could hardly compete with Maui, but it still had some wanderlust... it chose to fall out in a hunk of cantaloupe while we travelled over the Grapevine down to southern California.
The Tooth Fairy, despite repeated warnings from the dentist, was not prepared for working remotely -- and sadly, did not have the special, hand-sewn pillow she had planned on making for the big occasion -- but she improvised. Maui Joey and Grapevine Joey each received a note from the Tooth Fairy, specially designed for their reading abilities, and each were the proud recipient of "100 cents," aka a one dollar bill.

I've heard some crazy rates for teeth recently, but I thank the Traveling Tooth Fairy for setting an affordable rate, as cousins will likely compare notes.
I think you are on par for the amount. Also heard something fun from my mom. The tooth fairy leaves an american dollar and a coin from another country. Then you talk about how the fairy must have visited x country before she visited Joey and you get to look the country up on a map. Something fun to try...
