A much-needed margarita night (see below) was my reward for making it through our first week of daily swim lessons. Alcohol was definitely in order for:
- making it out of the house every morning, Monday through Friday, with three kids in tow
- ensuring that two of these children were sunscreened, swimsuited, and begoggled
- feeding, burping, changing, and buckling in the smallest child before hitting the road
and most importantly,
- hauling everyone's gear back and forth from the pool, a grueling exercise that gives me hope that more of this pregnancy weight will fall off by the time our swim session is over. Tragically, a coffee cup does not mix well with all of this carry-on luggage.
Four and a half more weeks to go! Here's hoping that we'll have some certified swimmers on our hands by the time this session is over!

I seem to remember warning you of the perils of committing to an everyday program. I much prefer lounging at home with unsunscreened kids. Then again, they don't need suncreen outside here anyway...
I'm expecting Joey to show me his butterfly technique at the end of all of this! :)
