The Great Facial Hair Debate

On a lark -- or out of laziness -- Tim grew a beard a week and a half ago during our "staycation," and it went unchecked during the following four days of relaxing, carousing and gambling in Tahoe with friends at a bachelor party. For better or worse, it's now pretty grown in, thanks to his Italian genes, and he's debating whether his first foray into facial hair should become semi-permanent of not. Weigh in with the poll at the top right of the page! :)

I have to tell you, icky factor aside, I think it's hot.

ps. I'm totally seeing Marco in this pic of Joey.

My "yes" vote comes with the caveat that it be kept groomed short and close to the face. No bushy beard, please.

Robin Grochol's opinion is probably pretty low on the impact meter, but I say thumbs up rugged hottie!

Now I am making myself paranoid. My comment was meant in the most platonic of ways of course! :)

Tim just wishes he'd grown this thing in high school, when he was dying for attention from female classmates! ;)

How the hell has this gotten more remarks than any of the cute pics of my kids???

p.s. You're a hottie too, Robin!

I don't find the beard 'hot', but I do find the
smooth face (down the page at the Discovery Center)
"cool".

Don't worry Sara, you'll get use to it, but you gotta have faith, faith, faith.

Thanks Jeff. See you in a reststop near you.

Hmm, sorry to break with the trend here but I am saying shave it. Well, maybe I am just more on the page with Meredith, frightened that it will become big and bushy and Paul Bunyon-like. Still, I think I am going to have to side with Barbara.

And funny how this is how we have to find out that Robin has the secret hots for Tim.

LOVE the beard! I don't see Sara's opinion here, actualy, but I like it! Maybe not the same way as Robin, LOL! But it looks good!

I think I've figured out Tim's ulterior motive now.
He's starting to look more like Davis and Jake.

Top 3 Negative Beard Comments:
1. I didn't recognize you. I thought you were a Middle Easterern (not that there's anything wrong with that).

2. It's starting to come in rather than just looking like you have a drinking problem (I guess this is actually a positive comment but it didn't feel like it)

3. Sarah called it icky in her post

Top 3 Positive Comments:
1. thumbs up rugged hottie! - Robin
2. thumbs up rugged hottie! - Robin
3. thumbs up rugged hottie! - Robin

HA! No, no, no. "Icky" referred to calling my husband's brother "hot." That my friend, is icky.

Ha, Sara, sorry I called you out on my blog and now everyone thinks you have facial hair. Hee! I'll make sure to rectify this situation in a future post.

Are you doing this for your trip up here? You do know you don't have to have a beard if your a male in Spokane. Don't confuse us with those crazy Canadians up the road.

Spokane's ok...but you might want to reconsider before your trip to Mexico.

If someone tells you to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge are you going to do it?
Your mother

(P.S. I voted at least four times.)
